Honestly, I have no complaints about how the first weekend went. I am excited more than ever to be a part of this 250-Hour Training program. I feel inspired by this first weekend to want to work as hard as I can to obtain my new possibilities for myself.

Meditation: A Practical Morning Routine

ending yoga class

My journey into yoga started two years ago this February. I walked into Evolution during “Bring a Friend Week” apt to learn something! I knew my whole body and mind needed work, and I thought if I could get a workout at the same time, it was a WIN WIN! After a few sessions, I noticed a change.

Week 3 marks the 40 days program in full swing for me. The theme of week 3 was equanimity. Merriam-Webster defines equanimity as, “evenness of the mind especially under stress” and “balance”. If you frequent any EPY studio, you’ll know that Points for Presence pops up every July. It’s a time to throw some fun hearted competition into the mix between studios and see at the end of the month how many total visits each studio got. For me, this July marked one year of me being […]

From yoga training to teaching: An accidental journey

When you’re a first-time yogi and the teacher cues a bind in wide-legged, side-facing forward fold, do not make dubious eye contact with your friend on the way down. That is, unless you want to catch the giggles (and the wobbles). You want me to do what with my body? That was 10 years ago. […]
