We have put into place safety protocols so that once restrictions are lifted, and we feel confident that it is safe to re-open, we can do so while keeping our community healthy and safe.
Here at Evolution Power Yoga, we have always held high standards in regards to the cleanliness and safety of our studios. We will now double-down on our efforts to make sure we provide the safest environment possible for our community and team. This is an evolving process and we will continue to update our procedures as more information becomes available.
We have rigorous cleaning protocols in place and will be using a combination of Clorox and hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solutions for all surfaces in the studio after every class. These include; all door handles, light switches, cubbies, desk surfaces, computers, scanners, bathrooms. All surfaces that are exposed to students will be thoroughly cleaned multiple times a day. Our instructors will have a minimum of 45 minutes post class to sanitize the studio.
Atmos Air purifiers have been installed on all HVAC systems.
A thorough deep clean will be performed at the end of every day including steaming the floors and spraying a hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solution on the floor to soak overnight.
All staff members will have their temperature checked before entering the studio. If any staff member has a temperature of 100 degrees or above, they will not be permitted to teach the scheduled class. Additionally, all staff members will be required to thoroughly wash their hands according to CDC guidelines immediately upon entering. We ask that you adopt these practices as well while in the studio.
We have infrared thermometers at the sanitation station located in front of the door to the studio. If you did not check your temperature prior to coming to class, we ask that you check it at the front door. There are disinfecting wipes to clean the thermometer handle after using.
All Evolution Power Yoga staff will be wearing face-masks at all times except when teaching class. In addition, instructors and customers will be asked to wear masks to enter and exit the studio and anytime you are not on your mat. Masks may be removed for practice.
You are welcome to wear gloves to enter and exit the studio, however, you are not required to do so.
By law, our class sizes are now limited to 50% capacity. You must pre-register for class no later than 1 hour before class begins via our website or the Mindbody App. We will not be allowing drop-ins.
Once maximum capacity is reached, you can opt to be put on a waiting list. If there is a cancellation, you will automatically be notified via text/email with an offer to take the open space.
*DO NOT register or attend class if you:
- Have a temperature of 100 degrees or above
- Have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days
- Have tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days
- Are awaiting test results for COVID 19
- Have a fever, cough, or experience any symptoms related to COVID 19
Due to limited spacing the cancellation policy will be enforced. If you are registered for class and unable to attend, you must cancel your registration no later than 2 hours before class beings to allow your space to be offered to someone on the wait-list. If you fail to cancel your reservation and do not attend class you will be charged according to your class package: 10 class cards will be reduced by 1 class, single classes will have a charge of $18, and a flat rate fee for those on unlimited packages.
We ask that you arrive no sooner than 10 minutes before class to form a socially-distanced line outside the studio. You will be invited into the lobby one-by-one and asked stop at the sanitation station and then check-in at the front desk using your key fob.
Please only bring essential class items into the studio to keep exposure at a minimum. You will have a cubby space inside the studio to store any small items. We recommend a towel, mat, block, strap, water and your keys/phone if necessary. We will not be providing rentals during this time.
Once you have checked-in for class you will be directed to remove your shoes and head into the studio to set up for class.
Bathrooms will be cleaned after every class and deep cleaned at the end of every business day. There will be a spray bottle with a cleaning solution that contains Clorox in every restroom if you would like to spray down the toilet and sink before and wipe off using a tri-fold towel.
Showers will be unavailable for the time being.
Our yoga studio has been mapped out and marked for mat placement using gold tape. Chose an empty gold rectangle and align the front edge of your mat flush and center with the top edge of the gold rectangle. Each space has been measured to be 6 feet from head to head of every other space in the studio, including the instructor.
Your instructor will wear a face shield and teach from a marked field in the front of the studio. The instructor will not be walking around the studio while teaching and will not be providing hands on assisting. Occasionally we will be offering pop-up classes outside in studios where there is room to do so and weather permitting – so keep connected to social to see when these are happening!
Evolution Community Code of Conduct
The following Code of Conduct applies to all members of our community, including staff.
If you’re sick, STAY HOME. If you are experiencing or have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days, we ask that you do not come to the studio:
Shortness of breath
Loss of Smell/Taste
Do not come to class to “sweat it out”
If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or have been knowingly exposed/come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the studio for 14 days or until you have tested negative for COVID-19.
Maintain Social Distance / Minimize Contact. Once we return to the places and people who represent our life before quarantine, our enthusiasm might have us fall into old habits. We miss the sweaty hugs and seeing old friends. Until the social distance requirements are lifted, we ask that you respect one another, maintain 6 feet of distance between one another, and refrain from person-to-person contact. What we hear from the studios opening in other states is these recommendations are easy to forget. Even if you feel casual about these precautions, others might not share your perspective. We will adhere to the guidelines we have been given to keep those highest at risk among us healthy.
The CDC advises that anyone over the age of 65, or with pre-existing conditions, should minimize social contact. If you fall into this category and are concerned about practicing in the studio, we will continue our live virtual class offerings via Zoom and our on-demand content via Evolution GO. In addition, all “studio” classes in Lancaster will simultaneously be streamed on Zoom once the restrictions are lifted in the Lancaster Country and we are cleared to reopen the studio. We encourage you to stay connected to the community and engaged in your practice to keep your body and mind healthy.
If you have practiced in the studio and later find out you have tested positive for COVID-19, please notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a secure email address and your name and contact information will remain private and confidential. If there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in any of the studios we will notify you immediately via our text system. The studio in which the case was reported will then close for 12 hours in order to sanitize the environment.
