Astrological Sign: Libra

I’ve been teaching since: 2015

I’m passionate about: Helping others, teaching
my high school students and teaching my yoga students, sports—especially field hockey, music, my family and friends, and I absolutely love being a student and learning more and more.

Favorite quote: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

What it means to be me… We are all meant to shine bright in this world and love ourselves. This quote is a refreshing reminder that our success is something to be proud of; that no matter what we’ve been through, we can step outside of our comfort zone and breathe in the love and light from those around us, and share our love and light with the rest of the world.

What you should know about me… My husband and son mean the world to me! Liam is my inspiration for everything and brings so much purpose and love to my life. Outside of yoga, I teach Psychology, Holocaust Studies, and U.S. History to high school students, as well as coach the Varsity Field Hockey team. I’ve played sports my entire life, so my yoga practice has been vital to discovering ways to bring balance and ease in to my life and my body.
