My ACCESS Journey: Week 1

Honestly, I have no complaints about how the first weekend went. I am excited more than ever to be a part of this 250-Hour Training program. I feel inspired by this first weekend to want to work as hard as I can to obtain my new possibilities for myself.

J’s ACCESS Journey; Week 1

I went into this first weekend of the ACCESS training not really knowing what to expect. At first, I thought, “oh man, I am probably going to be so overwhelmed by all the information, I hope I can keep up and understand everything”.

We started out the first session by learning about practicing and leading meditation, and self-inquiry methods. We practiced the Journey Into Power (JIP) sequence and we even got to practice teach! We also got into some of the anatomy, among other things. The most challenging thing to learn was definitely the anatomy, since I’m not too familiar with it.

Overall, I was very surprised with myself. I managed to step out of my comfort zone, asked questions and gave my opinion (which is something I tend not to do since I can be shy). I felt completely at home and comfortable with everyone in the training. No one was judging me or the things I said. I was surprised by how much I learned from everyone’s different opinions and personal shares. The teachers also made everything very easy to understand and gave plenty of examples along with the instruction.

Before the next session, I have to memorize the JIP sequence, start my own practice at home, do some meditation/self-inquiry and meet with our assigned small group twice for practice teaching.  We also have a quiz on Baptiste Methodology like True North Alignment.

Honestly, I have no complaints about how the first weekend went. I am excited more than ever to be a part of this 250-Hour Training program. I feel inspired by this first weekend to want to work as hard as I can to obtain my new possibilities for myself. I can’t wait to see what the other weekends bring!
