Laura dabbled in yoga for years, but it wasn’t until taking the 40 Days to a Personal Revolution program at Evolution Power Yoga in 2009 that she began to practice regularly. Taking the time to focus on her personal way of being showed Laura that she could overcome anything that came her way.

“No matter what was going on in my life, I could always come back to my mat and be a rock star on it,” she says. With time, that feeling began to move with her off the mat as well. “As my yoga journey continued, it became apparent that the physical practice was just one part of the picture.”

She soon found she had a passion for the practice, and eventually enrolled in the EPY 200-Hour Training program. The experience offered Laura much more than she’d ever imagined. “I found that yoga is a way of being,” she explains. “It is about loving myself and others, and always acting in a way that reflects that philosophy. This ‘way of being’ is what I strive to incorporate into every minute of my life.”

As a teacher, Laura enjoys the opportunity to help others improve their own lives. “I am inspired by yoga’s positive influence,” she says. “It is magical and contagious. I enjoy being a positive channel for others while opening them up to new possibilities.”
